Our Spanish and TEFL course participants will learn or improve their Spanish while obtaining a TEFL certificate in Peru. The TEFL certificate allows you to get a job as a certified English teacher, not only in Peru but anywhere in the world. Spanish & TEFL in Cusco is your passport to living your dreams abroad. Think about it: you can live and teach English in exotic locations in Latin America and worldwide!

During the 鈥淪panish and TEFL鈥� course, you will attend Spanish classes with our qualified teachers and take additional TEFL classes to learn the skill of teaching English as a foreign language. The standard Spanish and TEFL course is a 6-week course that consists of 2 weeks of Spanish group classes, followed by four weeks of TEFL-course.

There are different options for customizing our Spanish/TEFL program to best suit your needs. For example, you can opt to complete a part of the TEFL course online before arriving in Cusco to reduce your classroom hours once in Peru. You can also choose to take the TEFL course alone, without Spanish classes, or to split your course time between our different locations (e.g. Cusco and Lima), taking the opportunity to live in various places in Peru.

In Cusco, the standard accommodation included during the course is either in a homestay or the 蜜豆视频student residence (double room). Just let us know what you麓d prefer, and we will plan the perfect customized study plan for you!

What is TEFL?

TEFL Certificate

A Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification is a globally recognized qualification to teach English abroad (or online) for non-native speakers of English. Therefore, a TEFL certificate is your key to getting hired by English language schools (online and around the world), and it鈥檚 a critical component of your international teaching job application.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language with a TEFL certificate involves working abroad. As a TEFL teacher, you will be in a foreign country (where English is not the native language), like in Peru. This can be temporary, for the time of your contract, or permanently, as a freelancer or contracted employee. TEFL involves private tutoring or work in language or state schools for groups. A TEFL course typically covers topics including teaching language skills, grammar, lesson planning and classroom management.

TEFL or TESOL?

TEFL and TESOL are two different types of certificates for teaching English to non-native English speakers.

If you want to teach abroad in a foreign country where English is not the first language, a TEFL course is the most prestigious and internationally recognized certification. TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages is required to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to non-native English Language Learners (ELLs) in an English-speaker country.
