Spanish Courses and Excursions
Peru is such a unique destination that spending too much time in the classroom is almost a pity! Do you agree? If so, the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵcombo Spanish and Excursions Program in Peru is for you! Learn Spanish and take the opportunity to participate in various tours in Cusco, Machu Picchu, Titicaca and the Amazon rainforest, allowing you to soak up the impressive beauty and culture that Peru offers.
Spanish and excursions start weekly, with a first-week Spanish group course and tours in and around the city of Cusco. Get to know the stunning Inca Ruins in the surroundings, such as Sacsahuaman, and visit the Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun and typical neighbourhoods such as San Blas. The first weekend, we travel to the Sacred Valley of the Inca’s where you will visit the traditional villages of Pisac and Chinchero, which all have marvellous Inca ruins, colourful markets and beautiful scenery. In Ollantaytambo, you take the train to the fabled and magnificent Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu.
During the following (long) weeks, you explore the Peruvian Jungle and Lake Titicaca while enjoying activities such as cooking workshops or river rafting. In week 2, you travel by bus to Puno and Lake Titicaca, where legends state that the first Inca emerged. Here you will visit the Floating Uros Islands of and the Islands of Amantanà and Taquile, where the people still have a distinct and unique lifestyle.
Spanish & Excursions includes 40 hours of Spanish instruction (a combination of group and individual lessons) and several afternoon tours and weekend trips. The total program is three weeks; extra weeks and additional excursions can be booked upon request.
Accommodation during this program can be arranged at the school residence, with a family or in a hotel. Please note that accommodation is an additional cost (except during some of the excursions, such as the Jungle tour and Puno). Our travel agency, Dos Manos Peru, operates all excursions.
