INDUSTRIAL INFRASTRUCTURE LEADERSHIP

Experience built in the field.

Keystone is led by a construction and risk-management executive with direct experience overseeing telecommunications networks, occupied-facility upgrades and mission-critical data-center construction in New York City.

ROBERT F. LICOPOLI / FOUNDER & MANAGING MEMBER

Industrial construction discipline applied to digital infrastructure.

Robert F. Licopoli is the founder of Keystone Optical Network. His background combines industrial construction, telecommunications infrastructure, construction risk management, insurance, contractual risk transfer, owner’s-representative services and capital formation.

His infrastructure experience includes responsibility for risk management during installation of the RCN cable network in New York City; oversight of AT&T building upgrades; MCI network upgrades on Manhattan’s Lower East Side; and construction of colocation facilities in Lower Manhattan. That work included converting a former cold-storage warehouse in Tribeca into a colocation data center.

As Director of Risk Management for Benchmark Construction, he works within the day-to-day realities of project execution: contracts, insurance, schedule exposure, subcontractor risk, reporting and loss prevention. Through Devco360 and 360 Sports, Inc., he has added owner’s-representative, program-management, capital-planning and corporate-governance experience relevant to large, phased deployments.

SELECTED INDUSTRIAL & TELECOM EXPERIENCE

Relevant work behind Keystone’s management model.

RCN Cable Network — New York City

Risk-management leadership supporting installation of RCN’s New York City cable network, with responsibility across field operations, contractor risk, insurance, safety and project controls.

AT&T Building Upgrades — New York City

Risk-management oversight for upgrades to AT&T telecommunications facilities, coordinating construction exposure, contractors and loss-prevention requirements in active urban environments.

MCI Network Upgrades — Lower East Side

Risk-management oversight of MCI telecommunications upgrades on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, supporting controlled execution in a dense and operationally sensitive setting.

Colocation Data Centers — Lower Manhattan

Oversight of ground-up and adaptive-reuse colocation-center construction, including conversion of a former cold-storage warehouse in Tribeca into a working data-center facility.

Project descriptions summarize Mr. Licopoli’s risk-management and oversight responsibilities and do not imply that Keystone Optical Network performed the underlying work.
